Christmas
Winter may not be as warm for outdoor days out, but in the weeks approaching Christmas many attractions put on a festive theme to attract visitors. Look out for the Christmas markets and fayres which can help find that unique present for that hard-to-buy-for relative.
It can also be a good time to have a family holiday at a Christmas themed wonderland. We first tried a winter holiday when our daughter was a small baby as she was very young during the summer and it seamed a good time to get a break from work to dedicate as a family. Since then we've tried to make a Christmas holiday an annual event. They can be cold and you do run the risk of travel delays, but a Christmas holiday can be just the thing to get you in that Christmas spirit.
